Remote Monitoring & Control Protocol (RMCP Option)
RMCP will let users of H.A. remotely monitor and control an unlimited number of remote sites running HATS' High Availability software.
RMCP is available for use with HATS' standard High Availability software for Sun SPARC Servers, PC Running Solaris X86, HP UX, IBM AIX, VxWorks and Windows NT.
FEATURES:
Permission Control-
This allows remote stations to monitor or monitor and control the H.A. site.
Connection-
Connection to RMCP is made by transferring the IP address of the remote site from a central control point by inputting the name of the site.
Data Transfer - Efficiency
RMCP transfers only a small amount ofinformation and does not tie up the use of capacity of the system with massive amounts of data and handshaking.
Display -
RMCP will display the screens listed below. (These screens include Status GUI, Main Menu, and Error Log, etc.). The access to the screen is by using UDP calls. The user, however,
can choose any medium to make the connection.
